Eating Habits
46% of American adults have poor eating habits. This means nearly half of the United States do not eat to sustain a healthy lifestyle. With the convince of fast food, microwavable food, and easy access to carbonated drinks it’s a no brainer why people are overweight, under muscled, and suffer from multiple chronic diseases.
As a Nutrition Coach, I have seen so many people walk around unhealthy due to poor food choices. What I have discover is that people do know what is good food and what is bad food. What people don’t know is that the ingredients in the food is what is destroying the health of unhealthy people.
Let’s talk about Eating Habits…
People over consume and don’t even know it
People under eat protein and over eat carbohydrates
People do not understand the degree of how harmful the ingredients in processed food are for human consumption
People struggle with emotional regulation when it comes to food, so they over eat or don’t eat at all
People think they can out work a poor diet

What about the Conditioning part?
The conditioning part of your physical health has to do with your cardiovascular system. Basically your blood flow and heart rate. I do want you to understand cardio conditions the heart and does not grow muscles.
Cardio is a great tool to use for overall health as it increases your VO2 max (Your breathing) and reduces your fatigue when performing physical task.
A common mistake people make is use cardio as the only tool to lose weight. This approach may work in the beginning but will fail at some point because the body gets use to the intensity and you have not changed your eating habits and/or have not introduce weight training. Cardio burns calories not body fat. (short term but not long term) So in turn will will gain the weight back or see no progress at all.
Solution
I understand weight training can be intimidating. Then you have to go to the gym and deal with guys like me who are loud and lift heavy weights.
The first thing you have to understand is you are worrying about all the wrong things. The gym is a place where people go to improve themselves and once you understand that you have moved on past your self-made obstacles.
As your coach, I understand you live a busy life and you don’t have time to focus on your health.
So, what I want you to do is close your eyes and visualize your success and how it will make you feel…
How would you feel if you started your Strength & Conditioning journey today and you didn’t wait for the perfect time to start. You show up to training session, you are getting stronger daily, you see muscle growth on your body, your clothes fit like they never have before, and you walk around with a confidence you never had before.
